1980s Tatung 7″ desk fan
A small аחԁ inexpensive, bυt well built, desk fan frοm tһе ’80s. It сουƖԁ probably υѕе a cleaning аחԁ oiling bесаυѕе іt ran quite ѕƖοw wһеח I first turned іt οח. I don’t һаνе much υѕе fοr іt anymore, bесаυѕе іt always stays сοοƖ down here іח tһе basement, аחԁ mοѕt οf tһе rooms upstairs now һаνе ceiling fans installed.

The base on it is very similar to my late 70s/early 80s 16″ Tatung.
You definitely won’t find an oscillating desk fan like that today.
I’ve got an older 9″ model from the early 80’s. Never seen a 7″ model. I mainly like the mid century fans myself.
Your fan might just need a couple drops of oil in the motor.
nice!
It reminds me of my 1996 7” gray & white Windmere oscillating desk fan. But yours is much quiter. But its funny how the base is made more like a larger desk fan. Your is about from the late 80s early 90s.(1987-1993)
really like ur tatung its unusall cause its got the piano switch instead of slid switch
Yes, and it’s nice to have the metal grille, too. Nowadays everything is all plastic!
If you have ceiling fans maybe you can show us ceiling fans you have. I’m intrestead in ceiling fans more than portable fans.
Nice fan. That sucker definetly needs oil.
I have a Tatung. But mine is a 3-speed model with blue blades. It works great, only problem is the oscillation knob is broken off.
I have one from the mid to late 80s..blue blades, yellowed plastic grille (though that might not be original), with a two way slide switch on the pedestal. Does not oscillate. I had another one from the late 80s with semi-transparent gray blades and a wire metal grille..very similar to this one..I think the switch was a dial on the back..so maybe it wasn’t a Tatung..it didn’t oscillate either. I should’ve never ridden of it.
